Severn Cider – Sweet Sparkling

Severn Cider, Gloucestershire, UK –
Sparking – sweet

points of interest

Started in 1956, and on 4 acres of orchard. Produced using only whole pressed fruit, never from concentrate.

Pale to look at, with a good level or fizz. The sweetness is present on the nose, but really hits home on the first mouthful. Refreshing and with no tannins left in the mouth, means this is seriously crushable.

food pairings

A roasted Autumn vegetable tart would sit beautifully with the sweetness here. Beetroot, Red onion, carrots and maybe even fennel would set off the fruitiness and sugars in the cider.
